No Man's Land FAQ

What is No Man's Land?
No Man's Land is a fantasy based living campaign using the Savage Worlds Deluxe game system set in a custom world.  It is build and maintained by Tim Bruns, the campaign lead.

What's a living campaign?
A living campaign is a campaign that's run openly with multiple modules while allowing players to create and advance their own PCs.  It's run at conventions mostly where it's open for anyone to play.

I can create and advance my own character?
Yes.  There are rules for character creation, and some guidelines for general player behavior to fit into the campaign, but if you can fit a character concept in those broad rules, you can play it in No Man's Land.

What do I need to play?
An imagination, interest in role-playing as generally a team player, and some enthusiasm.  Dice may help (one or two d4s, d8, d10s, and d12s, and at least two different d6s).

What is Savage Worlds Deluxe?
Savage Worlds Deluxe is a role playing game made by Pinnacle Entertainment Group. Its been around for a long time, has rules flexible enough to run many different types of games. The Deluxe edition has several rules refinements since the original edition, but if you've played any edition, you'll know most of the rules.  You can order a book directly from Pinnacle or get the PDF from DrivethroughRPG.com. It's $10 well spent.

Where can I read more about the world in No Man's Land?
The campaign document is posted at http://tinyurl.com/NMLCampaign, and is regularly being updated with both new rules, expanded options, and world flavor.  There is a lot of background material already in the book, but it also contains all the custom rules you'll need to make a character for the campaign.
